Live in Community

Jesus' vision for community is a spiritual family that functions as an incubator for our formation; we can't follow Jesus and become people of love alone. As we share life together in smaller relational communities marked by trust, authenticity, and a commitment to practicing the way of Jesus in our ordinary lives, we are slowly transformed and, as one spiritual writer puts it, loved into loving.

Ages & Stages

Our current opportunities to practice the Way of Jesus together with others of different ages and in various stages of life.

  • Soma Kids (ages 0 through 5th grade) meets weekly during Sunday Gatherings. Check our Events page for special events and fun opportunities for kids and families.

  • From Wednesday Evening Gatherings to retreats and serving opportunities, your student (6th - 12th grade) is welcome and invited to practice the Way of Jesus together with other middle and high-schoolers.

  • Soma Moms is a cohort of women practicing the way of Jesus together in the vocation of motherhood. Whether you are a biological, foster, adoptive, expectant, or empty nester mama, we'd love for you to join us for speakers, discussions, and snacks as we encourage each other in life and motherhood.

Registration Fee: $40 (babysitting stipends available for single moms)

    Contact moms@somaindy.com to learn more.

  • Our Three Accord marriage ministry exists to empower couples to covenantally bind their marriage in Christ so that it becomes a living testimony of the Gospel. We host Pre-Marital classes, The Alpha Marriage Course, and other small gatherings throughout the year.

Check our Events page to see if Three Accord has any upcoming classes or gatherings or email Robin to learn more.

Intentional
Community

We currently offer two forms of weekly, gathered community aimed at fellowship and deeper formation into a people of Christlike love.

  • Missional Communities (MCs) are mid-sized groups that meet regularly to practically live out our vision as disciples who are learning to practice the way of Jesus together for the life of the world.

  • Discipleship groups are small-sized groups (about 3-5) of the same gender aimed at cultivating spiritual friendships.

Covenant Membership

In a cultural moment of hyper-individualism, consumerism, and thin commitments, we want to live intentionally as a spiritual family with thick commitments to Jesus and each other. Covenant membership is our way of specifically naming these commitments.
